The Ripon Early Bird and Noon Kiwanis clubs are asking for the public's help to to raise the funds necessary to build an all-inclusive playground at Riggs County Park. The clubs hope to raise $80,000 to pay for the estimated $270,000 cost to build the playground that that will include 43 features for more than 230 children. A motorcyclist was seriously injured in a collision with a dump truck in Dodge County. The crash happened shortly before 5:30pm Thursday on County Highway R near Highway O. A preliminary investigation showed the motorcycle was southbound on R when it collided with the truck as the truck was turning into a driveway. The motorcycle operator, a 61 year old Watertown man, was transported to a hospital with serious injuries.
