6-16-23 kaul announces final approval of opioid settlements

Wisconsin Attorney General Josh Kaul Friday announced the final approval of $17.3 billion in opioid agreements with drug makers Teva and Allergan and pharmacies CVS and Walgreens. SSM Health Greater Fond du Lac is giving $5,000 to the Family Resource Center of Fond du Lac County to support their services for families and children.  The Family Resource Center of  Fond du Lac County serves children and families through a variety of services and parenting programs.   The Family Resource Center’s parent education services and Distribution Center have served more than 800 families and just about 2,000 children in the past five years.  […]

6-16-23 fdl coffee shop fire

A restroom ceiling fan is to blame for a fire that damaged a Fond du Lac coffee shop.  Shortly before 8:30am Thursday firefighters were called to The Uba Brews, Blends and Bites coffee shop on South Main Street quickly extinguished the fire before it could spread to the attic.  The fire started in the motor of the bathroom vent fan and spread to some combustibles in the restroom.   Nobody was injured.
