5-3-23 hilbert man arrested following high speed chase in fdl county

A Hilbert man is in custody following a high speed chase in Fond du Lac County. It started Monday evening following a traffic stop on Interstate 41 near Johnson Street and reached speeds of up to 130 mph before it was terminated. The suspect vehicle later crashed near County highway N. The driver was arrested following a short foot chase. He faces multiple charges including possession of fentanyl with intent to distribute.

5-3-23 fdl lakeside park lighthouse repair work on schedule

Repair work continues on the Fond du Lac Lakeside Park Lighthouse.  Fond du Lac Advisory Park Board member John Papenheim says crews have removed and replaced siding,  and rotted studs, along with concrete cap, cleaning and tuck pointing.   Meanwhile, Papenheim says work is also ongoing on a major street and parking lot renovation project  on  Lighthouse Drive.   All of the work is slated to be completed by the end of May.
