5-2-23 law enforcement investigating social media threat against laconia intermediate school

The Fond du  Lac County Sheriff's Office is continuing it's investigation after learning about a threat of violence at the Laconia Intermediate School.  The Sheriff's Office says early Monday morning the FBI notified the Sheriff's Office of a  school threat video they intercepted that had been shared on a social media platform.   Working with the FBI, sheriff’s deputies were able to identify the Rosendale Intermediate School student who spoke of this threat on social media.  […]

After hearing concerns from residents, the Waupun Common Council has voted to suspend the Waupun Community Garden for a year. MADISON, Wis. (AP) — Crews have secured two containers cars along the Mississippi River after a freight train derailment in southwestern Wisconsin left four railway employees with minor injuries. 5-1-23 huber inmate walkaway in custody

A huber inmate walkaway in Dodge County has been apprehended. The Dodge County Sheriff’s Office received a tip from the public that Michael Kirk had checked into the Holiday Inn Express in Beaver Dam. When Dodge County Human Services made contact with him, Kirk barricaded himself inside his hotel room. After about three hours of negotiations Kirk surrendered without incident.

5-1-23 fire destroys barn in dodge county

Nobody was injured in a fire that destroyed a vacant barn in Dodge County. Shortly before 1:30pm Sunday firefighters from several departments were called to a farm on Oakwood Road to a report of a vacant barn fully engulfed in flames. Waupun Fire Chief B.J.
