4-19-23 heisler elected fdl city council president

The Fond du Lac city council is under new leadership.   At the council's organizational meeting Tuesday night Keith Heisler was elected council president.  Heisler replaces Patrick  Mullen in the leadership role.    The council elected Tiffany Brault as council vice president.  Brault, Mullen and Heisler were all re-elected after running unopposed in the April 4th election.

4-19-23 fdl county wildfire arson suspect arrested

Following a lengthy investigation an arrest has been made in connection with intentionally set wildfires in Fond du Lac County dating back nearly two decades.  Using fire forensic science, covert surveillance and multiple interviews  investigators identified a 40 year old Eden man as a suspect.   The suspect admitted to  setting several fires, burning more than 60 acres of land dating back  for  nearly 20 years.    Charges of Arson and Intentionally Setting Fire to land […]

4-19-23 fox, dominion reach settlement over false election claims

WILMINGTON, Del. (AP) — Fox and Dominion Voting Systems reached a settlement Tuesday in the voting machine company’s defamation lawsuit, averting a trial in a case that exposed how the top-rated network chased viewers by promoting lies about the 2020 presidential election.   Dominion Voting Systems said the settlement was for $787.5 million.  “The truth matters. 4-19-23 wisconsin state archeologist dies after training dive

MADISON, Wis. (AP) — Wisconsin's state archaeologist is dead after a training dive in Madison. Rescuers pulled 63-year-old James Skibo from Lake Mendota on Friday morning. Wisconsin Historical Society Director and CEO Christian Overland said Skibo was with two other divers training for the upcoming season.
