MADISON, Wis. (AP) — The Milwaukee public school district struggles with a “culture resistant to change” that has undermined its ability to function properly, disproportionately harming its most vulnerable students, an audit ordered by Democratic Gov. 2-14-25 fdl man convicted in drug overdose death

A Fond du Lac man has been convicted in a drug overdose death. Jeremy Stoll pleaded no contest to First Degree Reckless Homicide in the June 2022 overdose death of a man in the  town of Lamartine.   An autopsy showed the cause of death was mixed drug toxicity including fentanyl, cocaine and methamphetamine.  A sentencing hearing will be held in June.

2-14-25 fdl county sheriff’s office says campbellsport teens who planned school shooting had a list of targets

The Fond du Lac County Sheriff’s Office says two teens accused of planning a school shooting in Campbellsport had a list of possible targets.   The two 9th grade boys were arrested Tuesday and placed in secure detention awaiting a future court hearing on criminal charges.   Sheriff’s captain Chris Randall says the boys had made what he described as significant threats.  "My understanding is, yes,  some names were specifically mentioned,"  Randall […]
