The Dodge County Sheriff's Office says a 29 year old Neosho man apparently died after falling through thin ice on the Rubicon River. Shortly before 3:30pm Tuesday the body was recovered from the river just west of state Highway 67. Nancy Vanderkin is being remembered as a person who loved her community. Funeral services were held Tuesday for the longtime Waupun alderwoman. Vanderkin passed away last Wednesday at the age of 74. New decals branding Waupun as the 'City of Sculpture' have been placed on the city's wayfinding signs. Mayor Rohn Bishop says the signs feature silhouettes of four of Waupun's famous statues and were paid for through donations. Bishop says earlier this month Department of Public Works Crews placed the new statue silhouettes on the wayfinding signs throughout the city. The statue silhouettes replace a crop logo.
