12-28-22 apparent drowning on rubicon river

The Dodge County Sheriff's Office says a 29 year old Neosho man apparently died after falling through thin ice on the Rubicon River.  Shortly before 3:30pm Tuesday the body was recovered from the river just west of state Highway 67.   The Sheriff's Office says no foul play is suspected and the Medical Examiner is working to determine a cause of death.   Sheriff Dale Schmidt says all persons need  to use caution if going […]

12-28-22 no serious injuries in semi-tractor trailer collision in dodge county

Nobody was seriously injured in a two vehicle crash between two semi tractor trailers in Dodge County.  The crash happened shortly before 2pm Tuesday at the intersection of Highway 26 and Dodge County Highway CI.  A preliminary investigation  shows a Freightliner semi struck the trailer of a Volvo semi that was turning at the intersection.  The driver of the Freightliner, a 57 year old Horicon man,  was transported  to the hospital with non […]

12-28-22 new waupun wayfinding signs

New decals branding Waupun as the 'City of Sculpture' have been placed on the city's wayfinding signs.    Mayor Rohn Bishop says the signs feature silhouettes of four of Waupun's famous statues and were paid for through donations.  Bishop says earlier this month Department of Public Works Crews placed  the new statue silhouettes on the wayfinding signs throughout the city.   The statue silhouettes replace a crop logo.
