12-21-22 first pediatric flu death confirmed in wi

The Wisconsin Department of Health Services (DHS) has confirmed the first pediatric influenza-associated death in Wisconsin for the 2022-2023 season. Nationwide, 30 pediatric influenza-associated deaths have been reported.   DHS encourages all Wisconsinites, especially children, to get vaccinated against the flu as soon as possible. Early data show this year’s flu vaccine is a match to current circulating influenza strains and will prevent or reduce symptoms of influenza infection.

12-21-22 ripon man arrested for setting fire to apartment

MILWAUKEE (AP) — The city of Milwaukee has joined the ranks of other major cities challenging their 2020 census figures, claiming the once-a-decade U.S. head count which determines political power and federal funding fell 16,500 short of the true population figure. The official count left Milwaukee with its lowest population since 1930. 12-20-22 one dead, three injured in kenosha shooting

One person is dead and three people were injured in a shooting in Kenosha.  At approximately 8:19 p.m. Monday officers with the Kenosha Police Department and the Kenosha County Sheriff’s Office responded to a call of an active shooter  in the City of Kenosha.
