A preliminary investigation indicates a fire that damaged a Fond du Lac home this week may have been electrical in nature. Fire Chief Erick Gerritson says the fire on North Brooke Street Monday afternoon started in the living room. Gerritson says at this point the fire does not appear to be suspicious. Nobody was home at the time of the fire.
A white-tailed deer at a deer farm in Vernon County has tested positive for chronic wasting disease, or CWD, the Wisconsin Department of Agriculture, Trade and Consumer Protection said Wednesday.
