1-28-25 fdl man sentenced to prison for drug overdose death

A Fond du Lac man  convicted of  providing the drugs that led to an overdose death  is going to prison.   Fond du Lac County Circuit judge Laura Lavey sentenced 46 year old Joshua Weber to 12 years in prison and 13 years extended supervision.  Weber earlier pleaded guilty to First Degree Reckless Homicide.   Investigators say Weber supplied the fentanyl that led to the death of a Fond du Lac man […]

A convicted high risk child sex offender who cut off his GPS monitoring bracelet Monday and fled Fond du Lac has been captured.   Fond du Lac Police Chief Aaron Goldstein says detectives learned that Chad Maertz purchased a rental car and entered the vehicle into the FLOCK license plate recognition camera system.  A short time later Maertz was arrested at a Walmart store in Germantown.  Maertz served a  20 year  sentence for attempted  child […]
