The city of Waupun is celebrating the grand opening of a new community center. A dedication and grand opening was held Tuesday evening for the new Waupun Community Center. Waupun city administrator, Kathy Schlieve says the $5.8 million, 22,000 square foot facility was supported by $4.9 million in federal American Rescue Plan Act funds. The latest salmonella outbreak has been linked to cucumbers sold in Wisconsin. According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention 68 people in 19 states including at least three people in Wisconsin have become infected. The Green Lake County Sheriff's Office is investigating the death of of 75 year old man after his body was recovered Monday from the Fox River. The Green Lake County Sheriff’s Office said deputies responded to a call Monday morning when a man had not returned home when expected. The vehicle was found in the river and the man was located outside the vehicle, deceased. The incident remains under investigation.
