The victim of a fatal two vehicle crash in Fond du lac County has been identified. The Fond du Lac County Sheriff's Office says 34 year old Samantha Watts-Galica of Brandon died Saturday evening when her car was struck by a vehicle on Highway 151 at County Highway TC. Failure to stop at stop sign and failure to yield to cross-traffic are believed to be the contributing factors to the incident.
Former Ripon Area Fire District Chief Tim Saul is accused of defrauding the department. Saul was charged Monday afternoon in Fond du lac County Circuit Court with three misdemeanor counts of financial transaction card-use to defraud. The first of four people convicted in a fentanyl overdose death in Ripon has been sentenced. Seventeen year old Maison Springston was sentenced to seven years in prison and eight years extended supervision for the April 2023 overdose death. Three others are still awaiting sentencing.

A Milwaukee man is going to prison for a drug overdose death in Fond du Lac County. Fond du Lac County Circuit judge Anthony Nehls sentenced Derrise Lamon Townsend Jr. to eight years in prison followed by seven years extended supervision.
