3-11-25 wisconsin measles vaccination rates

Fewer kids in Wisconsin are vaccinated against measles than they were in 2013, and children in the state now have the second-worst vaccination rate for the disease in the United States.  Meanwhile, a Texas-centered measles outbreak has grown to more than 100 cases.   In 2023, the most recent year with available data, 81.6 percent of Wisconsin’s 2-year-olds  had at least one dose of the measles vaccine, according to the Department of Health Services. 3-11-25 wisconsin elections officials plan to depose madison workers over uncounted ballots

MADISON, Wis. (AP) — Wisconsin election officials plan to call Madison city workers in for depositions to learn more about how nearly 200 absentee ballots went uncounted in the November election. The uncounted ballots didn't affect any race results but the Wisconsin Elections Commission is investigating how they were missed and whether Madison City Clerk Maribeth Witzel-Behl violated state law or otherwise abused her discretion. A Fond du Lac street will be closed Tuesday for water utility repairs and temporary pavement restoration.  Fourth Street, between Ashland Avenue and Woodward Street will be closed all day starting at 7am Tuesday.   A detour will follow Ashland and Prairie Avenues, and Woodward Street.
