9-9-24 tactical situation resolved quickly in beaver dam

A tactical situation Sunday afternoon in Beaver Dam was quickly resolved without incident.  A portion of Madison Street was shut down and residents were asked to shelter in place.  Dodge County Sheriff Dale Schmidt says about a half hour later the situation was resolved and the  street was reopened.  The Sheriff's Office assisted Beaver Dam police at the scene.

The Wisconsin Department of Health Services (DHS), along with the Wisconsin Department of Agriculture, Trade, and Consumer Protection (DATCP), local health departments, and federal partners, are working to investigate a multistate outbreak of Salmonella infections linked to eggs from a Wisconsin farm.
