A new employee retention and exit data survey shows a growing number of staff leaving the Fond du Lac School District in the last few years. Fond du Lac School District superintendent Dr. Jeff Fleig says he is concerned about the District's employee retention rate. Nobody was injured in a fire that destroyed a garage in Fond du Lac County. Firefighters from Oakfield, Lamartine, town of FDL and Fond du Lac were called to the scene on Briar Court shortly before 11 pm Tuesday. The attached garage, a vehicle and lawnmower inside the garage were destroyed. The cause appears to be a hover board that was charging.
A sprinkler system extinguished a kitchen fire at a Fond du Lac strip mall restaurant over the weekend. By the time firefighters arrived at Fast Taco on Winnebago Drive Saturday morning the fire on the two burner cook top was out. The fire resulted in minimal water and soot damage to Fast Taco and an adjacent business. The cause of the fire was unattended cooking.
