A disaster declaration has been issued for Waupun after severe thunderstorms dumped heavy rain causing widespread flooding. Most streets have varying degrees of flooding with road closures. Motorists are asked to stay off streets and people are advised to avoid standing water. Motorists that ignore barricades may be ticketed. Residents are asked to report any flood damage to their insurance company.
A Watertown woman was seriously injured in a domestic related stabbing incident over the weekend. The incident happened early Friday evening at a residence in the town of Shields. The 36 year old victim received multiple lacerations and is in stable condition at a hospital. The 38 year old suspect barricaded himself inside the residence. The Dodge County Sheriff's Office has identified two people who were killed in a four vehicle crash in Dodge County this week.
