6-24-24 disaster declaration issued for waupun

A disaster declaration has been issued for Waupun after severe thunderstorms dumped heavy rain causing widespread flooding. Most streets have varying degrees of flooding with road closures. Motorists are asked to stay off streets and people are advised to avoid standing water.  Motorists that ignore barricades may be ticketed. Residents are asked to report any flood damage to their insurance company.

6-24-24 watertown woman seriously injured in domestic-related stabbing

A Watertown woman was seriously injured in a domestic related stabbing incident over the weekend.  The incident happened early Friday evening at a residence in the town of Shields.  The 36 year old victim received multiple lacerations and is in stable condition at a hospital.  The 38 year old suspect barricaded himself inside the residence. 6-24-24 fdl man sentenced to life in prison without parole in stabbing death

A Fond du Lac man convicted in the stabbing death of a Fond du Lac woman will never get out of prison.  At a hearing Friday Fond du Lac County Circuit judge Doug Edelstein sentenced Gary Davis to life in prison without the possibility of early release.  In February Davis was found guilty of First Degree Intentional Homicide in the November 2022 death of 51 year old Jacquelyn Rooney.  Her body […]

Fond du Lac area residents converged on the Abel Dairy Farm in Eden Sunday for the 2024 Fond du Lac County Breakfast on the Farm.  In addition to a large country style breakfast,  the event featured a local cheese tasting tent, Farm Education Zone, Petting Zoo, and Kelley's ice cream.

6-22-24 victims of fatal crash in dodge county identified

The Dodge County Sheriff's Office has identified two people who were killed in a four vehicle crash in Dodge County this week.  The Sheriff's Office says 84 year old Roland Greuel and 79 year old Shirley Greuel from Hustisford died in the crash Wednesday on State Highway 33 between Pierce and Town Hall Roads.  Seventy one year old David Fox of Shorewood received non life-threatening injuries. The crash happened when a car driven by […]
