5-31-24 fdl man electrocuted after touching ‘live’ power line in door county

5-30-24 defendants in fdl county child trafficking case make initial court appearance

Two individuals arrested for child human trafficking in Fond du Lac County have made their initial court appearances.   Juan Carlos Rocha Mejia  is charged with First Degree Child Sexual Assault, False Imprisonment, Child Enticement and Strangulation Suffocation.   The child's mother,  Elia Antonio, is charged with Child Trafficking and Failure to Protect a Child.   Bail was set at $1 million cash for both and they will be back in court June 7 for a preliminary hearing.  Rocha […]

5-30-24 fdl school board approves new teacher contract

Fond du Lac teachers and custodians have a new contract.  The Fond du Lac School Board has approved a new contract for this school year  for the teacher's union and  custodian and maintenance union.  Superintendent Dr. Jeff Fleig says the deal includes a base wage increase of 4.1 percent.  Fleig says the wage increase comes at a time when Wisconsin public schools are dealing with an ongoing teacher retention problem.  According to […]
