5-6-24 no mow may

Starting this week you don't have to mow your lawn in the city of Fond du Lac this month.  The Fond du Lac city council approved a No or Low Mow May for this year after a pilot program last May.  Public Works director Paul DeVries says  No Mow May originated in the United Kingdom as a way to help boost the population of bees and other pollinators.

5-6-24 chase suspect in fdl county was wanted for kidnapping in indiana

More information is coming to light about a chase involving a stolen vehicle in Fond du Lac County.   Shortly before 8pm Tuesday a  state patrol trooper pulled the vehicle over on Interstate 41 south of County Highway F for a speeding violation.   The trooper learned the vehicle had been stolen and placed the driver in handcuffs, preparing to take him into custody.   When the trooper went back to his squad car the suspect was […]

5-6-24 fdl county health department issues recall for 20lb bagged ice at taycheeda gas station

The Fond du Lac County Health Department has issued a recall for bagged ice from a Taycheeda gas station.  Fond du Lac County Public Health Officer Kim Mueller says  20-pound bagged ice bought before April 19 from the Citgo Ledgeview Express, N7593 Taycheedah Way, could be contaminated with E. coli.   The 10-pound bags are not part of the recall.  The Wisconsin Department of Agriculture, Trade and Consumer Protection’s Bureau of Meat […]
