A 47-year-old man was found dead after a residential fire in New Holstein. Firefighters were called to the scene at 1713 Monroe St. at around 9:30 p.m. Tuesday. Firefighters attempted to enter the house but were turned back because of the extreme heat. After several hours the fire was knocked down, and the victim was found dead in the home.
