(AP) — The Department of Natural Resources officials say hunters have turned over far fewer deer heads for chronic wasting disease testing than they had by this time last year.  DNR Wildlife Administrator Tom Hauge told the agency's board on Wednesday that hunters had donated 2,561 deer for sampling as of Monday. OSHKOSH, Wis. (AP) — Police at the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh are investigating a suspicious fire in a dormitory.  Firefighters responded to Fletcher Hall Monday afternoon. They were able to keep the fire contained to the basement.  Students were evacuated. The Polk County District Attorney has pleaded not guilty to OWI in Fond du Lac County.  Daniel Steffen was arrested last month on Highway 23 east of Fond du lac.  Fond du Lac County Sheriff’s captain Rick Olig says a sheriff’s deputy working an enforcement detail on Highway 23 initially pulled Steffen over for speeding.  Steffen  entered the written plea at an initial court appearance this week.  He was not […]
