Nobody was injured in a fire that significantly damaged a Ripon restaurant early this morning. Firefighters were called to Ripon Family Restaurant on West Fond du Lac Street to find flames shooting out of the roof. The cause of the fire remains under investigation, but is not believed to be suspicious.
The Dodge County Sheriff’s Office is investigating an armed robbery at a town of Beaver Dam gas station. Sheriff Dale Schmidt says the BP gas station on Madison Street was robbed at gunpoint shortly after 8am Tuesday. The suspect displayed a weapon, stole an undisclosed amount of cash and fled on foot. The president of the Association of Wisconsin Snowmobile Clubs says a new trail pass will help local clubs better maintain trails throughout the season.
