Waupun residents will have an opportunity to comment on a proposed budget. A public hearing on the budget is scheduled for Tuewsday. Waupun Finance director, Jerad Oosterhouse says newly created separate funds will help the city plan better for infrastructure improvements. Oosterhouse says the proposed tax levy is up about $95,000. Oosterhouse says one of the major street reconstruction projects in 2016 involves a portion of West Main Street.
A convicted child sex offender is moving to a new location in Fond du lac. Christopher Hensler was released from prison in July after serving time for sexually assaulting two teenage girls. MILWAUKEE (AP) — The Milwaukee County Medical Examiner is investigating the death of a 14-year-old boy who was a passenger in a car driven by a 15-year-old driver. Investigators say the 15-year-old lost control of the vehicle early Saturday in Milwaukee and struck a tree. The passenger was pronounced dead Saturday night at Children's Hospital.
