10-19-15 beaver dam man seriously injured in alcohol-related crash

A passenger was seriously injured in a one vehicle alcohol related crash in Dodge County.   The Dodge County Sheriff’s Office says 24 year old Adam Bazaldua of Beaver Dam was flown by helicopter to the hospital following the crash early Sunday morning on Highway 60 at the intersection with Junction Road. The City of Fond du Lac Water Utility says the bi-annual citywide water main flushing starts Monday.   Flushing will start in the northeast section of the city and  continue in the southeast neighborhood on Tuesday, the southwest area on Wednesday morning and finish in the northwest quadrant Wednesday afternoon, October 21st.  Flushing operations will take place each day between  7:00 AM and 5:00 PM. The Public Service Commission of Wisconsin has approved a new $25 million transmission line project near Eden.  PSC commissioners agreed on the need for the Creekview Interconnection Project and approved the north route proposed by ATC in its application filed earlier this year.  The project manager says the 138,000-volt transmission line will support the low-voltage distribution system in the region by connecting to a new We Energies substation.   The […]

10-19-15 beaver dam woman acquitted in 2001 death of ex-boyfriend

PORTAGE, Wis. (AP) — A Beaver Dam woman has been acquitted of a first-degree intentional homicide charge stemming from the 2001 cocaine overdose death of her ex-boyfriend.  A jury deliberated for four hours before finding Leah Jean Waldhart not guilty Friday night in the death of Curtis Wylesky. 10-19-15 berit beck murder suspect bound over for trial on drug charges

A Kenosha truck driver charged in the cold case slaying of a Sturdevant  teenager has been bound over for trial on drug charges in Fond du lac County.   Probable cause was found at a preliminary hearing Thursday for Dennis Brantner on  five felony bail jumping counts, three counts of possession of narcotics and two misdemeanor drug possession counts.  The charges carry a maximum sentence of 20 years in prison.
