10-5-15 fdl elks lodge suspended

The Fond du Lac Elks lodge 57 has been suspended.   The Elks Grand Lodge has taken possession of the Fond du Lac Lodge.   The suspension is for six months.  The Fond du Lac Elks Lodge is the oldest in Wisconsin dating back to 1886.  They are located at the corner of Sheboygan and Portland Streets.

MADISON, Wis. (AP) — State Appeals Court Judge Rebecca Bradley has applied to be appointed to the Wisconsin Supreme Court. Bradley says she applied for the appointment to complete the final 10 months on Justice Patrick Crooks' term. He died in his office last week. 10-2-15 local law enforcement receives traffic safety grants

The Fond du Lac County Sheriff’s Office has been awarded two state Department of Transportation grants to improve traffic safety.  a $13,000 grant will provide additional deputies for traffic enforcement on Highway 23 east to the Sheboygan County line.  In the first 9 months of 2015 on this stretch of Highway in Fond du Lac County there have been over twenty crashes, two people killed, more than a nineteen injured.
