Following four months of construction Highway 26 in Fond du Lac County will reopen Friday afternoon. A Fond du Lac industry is expanding. A grand opening ceremony was held Thursday for ACH Foam’s new 60,000 square foot facility in the Fox Ridge Business Park. HANCOCK, Wis. (AP) — Authorities say the pilot of a crop-dusting plane has died after crashing near Hancock in central Wisconsin. Waushara County Sheriff Jeff Nett says the plane went down Wednesday in a wooded area while spraying a potato farm. Nett says the pilot was the only person in the single-engine plane. The Federal Aviation Administration was at the crash site Thursday.
TOMAH, Wis. (AP) — The troubled Tomah Veterans Administration Medical Center says it will make several changes to address staffing shortages. The VA announced Wednesday that the hospital's 11-bed inpatient psychiatric unit had stopped admitting new patients and will temporarily close next week.
