Attendance at this year’s EAA AirVenture was up slightly from last year.  Approximately 550,000, people attended this year’s event at Wittman Regional  Airport in Oshkosh an  increase of approximately two percent from last year.  More than 10,000 aircraft arrived in Oshkosh and other airports in east-central Wisconsin including Fond du lac.

7-29-15 plane crash victims identified

BRISTOL, Wis. (AP) — Authorities have identified the two Kentucky men found dead in a plane crash in southeast Wisconsin over the weekend. The Kenosha County sheriff's office says 69-year-old William Lester Lanman of Louisville, Kentucky, was the pilot. Lanman was a U.S. Army veteran and a longtime pilot.
