7-24-15 illinois woman bound over for trial in death of infant son

An Illinois woman charged with neglect in connection with the death of her infant son has waived her preliminary hearing in Fond du Lac County Circuit Court.  Airealle Smart was bound over for trial on charges of neglecting a child  and neglecting a child causing death.   Police say Smart and her boyfriend were visiting friends at the Maplewood Commons apartments earlier this month when the incident occurred.  Police are looking […]

7-24-15 waupun man pleads not guilty to sex assault charges

A Waupun man accused of sexually assaulting a three year old boy has pleaded not guilty to charges against him.  26 year old Robert Moungey entered the plea at an arraignment hearing Wednesday in Dodge County Circuit Court.  He’s charged with first degree sexual assault of a child.  Police learned of the alleged abuse from Moungey’s wife, 25 year old Cassandra Scheuers.  Scheuers is also accused of sexually assaulting the […]

7-24-15 oshkosh man bound over for trial in fdl county sex assault case

An Oshkosh man accused of sexually assaulting four children when he lived  in Ripon in the 1990s has been bound over for trial.  Probable cause was found at a preliminary hearing Thursday afternoon for Chris Ziemer.  Ziemer is charged with multiple counts of repeated sexual assault of a child.  All of the alleged victims are now adults.  Ziemer is being held in the Fond du Lac County Jail on $500,000 […]

7-23-15 arrest warrant issued for chicago man in death of fdl infant

An Illinois woman has been charged in connection with the death of her infant son and police are looking for the woman’s boyfriend.    Twenty four year old Airealle Smart made her initial Fond du lac court appearance Wednesday on a charges of neglecting a child causing death.  Judge Robert Wirtz set bail at $150,000 cash.  A preliminary hearing is scheduled for July 31st.  Meanwhile  assistant police chief Steve Klein […]
