MILWAUKEE (AP) €” Two Wisconsin sausage companies are battling in court over who can use the term "backyard brat."  Klement Sausage Co. is suing Johnsonville Sausage in federal court for trademark infringement. A man accused of running a marijuana grow operation in Green Lake County has been killed in Illinois. 7-21-15 sex offender placement order rescinded in dodge county

A Dodge County judge has rescinded an earlier order that placed a convicted child sex offender at a home in the Dodge County town of Leroy.  Following a hearing Monday Judge Joseph Sciascia rescinded the order that placed Robert Larson on supervised release and ordered his return to the Sand Ridge Secure Treatment facility.  Dodge County Sheriff Dale Schmidt is pleased with the ruling.  Schmidt says Monday’s hearing was held […]

7-21-15 oshkosh man charged in fdl county with child sex assault

Bail has been set at $500,000 for an Oshkosh man accused of sexually assaulting four children when he lived in Ripon in the 1990s.  Chris Ziemer made his initial Fond du Lac court appearance on four counts of repeated sexual assault of a child and one count of sexual assault of a child younger than 13.   According to a criminal complaint two of the alleged victims are Ziemer’s nieces.  All […]

(AP) — The state's troubled job creation agency's board has approved hiring a national consultant to review its operations.  The Wisconsin Economic Development Corporation's board voted unanimously during a meeting Monday at Fox Valley Technical College in Oshkosh to hire The Council for Regional Economic Competitiveness to review the agency's mission, goals, structure and procedures.
