Bail has been set at $500,000 for an Oshkosh man accused of sexually assaulting four children when he lived in Ripon in the 1990s. Chris Ziemer made his initial Fond du Lac court appearance on four counts of repeated sexual assault of a child and one count of sexual assault of a child younger than 13. WASHINGTON (AP) — Republican presidential contender Scott Walker is struggling with the issue of gay Boy Scout leaders. The Boy Scouts of America has taken steps to end the blanket ban on gay adult leaders and let Scout units set their own policy. That prompted Wisconsin's governor to express support for the ban. The governor told the Independent Journal Review website the ban "protected children and advanced Scout values."
WFDL news has learned a Fond du Lac man has been arrested in what is described as a major cocaine bust. The 48 year old Fond du lac man faces charges of possession of cocaine with intent to deliver. He was arrested last week following an investigation by the Metropolitan Enforcement Group Drug Unit and Fond du lac police. Investigators seized more than 100 grams of cocaine.
