MADISON, Wis. (AP) — The Wisconsin state budget is now in Governor Scott Walker's hands.  The state Assembly early Thursday morning voted 52-46 to pass the $73 billion two-year spending plan. (AP) — Eleven Assembly Republicans joined with 35 Democrats in voting against the Wisconsin state budget.  They are: Kathleen Bernier, Ed Brooks, James Edming, David Heaton, Scot Krug, Lee Nerison, Todd Novak, Warren Petryk, Keith Ripp, Travis Tranel and Nancy Vander Meer.  All Democrats voted against the $73 billion two-year spending plan. 7-9-15 fdl police investigating infant death

Fond du lac police are investigating the death of an infant.  Fire chief Pete O’Leary says an ambulance was called to the Maplewood Commons apartments on Martin Avenue shortly before 2pm Tuesday for a report of a pulseless, non-breathing 14 month old male infant.  The child was transported to the hospital where he was pronounced dead.  Assistant police chief Steve Klein says the cause of the death remains under investigation.
