6-17-15 fdl man accused of sexually assaulting two girls nearly 20 years ago

A Fond du Lac man has been charged with sexually molesting two girls nearly two decades ago.  Fifty six year old William Thomas is charged with two counts of sexually assaulting a child and one count of exposing genitals.  According to a criminal complaint Thomas is accused of fondling two girls when they were eight or nine in the mid 1990s.

6-17-15 new 70mph speed limit signs posted

The Fond du Lac police department will be hosting series of public forums for the east district .  The forums will be held Wednesday, next Tuesday and Thursday at the American Legion Hall on Fond du Lac Avenue.   Wednesday's forum starts at 3:30pm.  Residents are invited to discuss crime and neighborhood issues in the eastern district.

6-17-15 civil lawsuit filed by homicide victim’s family dismissed

SHEBOYGAN, Wis. (AP) — A judge in Sheboygan County has dismissed a wrong death lawsuit involving one of Wisconsin's most notorious homicides nine years after it was filed.  The civil lawsuit brought by the family of Teresa Halbach was filed against Steven Avery and his nephew Brendan Dassey in 2006, seeking unspecified monetary damages.
