MADISON, Wis. (AP) — The state Department of Justice quietly fired the Madison crime lab manager last summer for what agency officials called unsatisfactory work performance.  Discipline letters The Associated Press obtained through an open records request show lab manager Amy Lautenbach was terminated on July 1. 6-12-15 naked intruder convicted

A Fond du lac  man has been convicted of  a series of home invasions.  At a plea and sentencing hearing Thursday afternoon Lucas Leffel  pleaded no contest to three counts of attempted second degree sexual assault.  Several other counts were dismissed and read into the record.   Police say Leffel admitted to entering four homes in the southeast side of town while naked last year.  A pre-sentence investigation was ordered.

6-12-15 bond reduced for fdl man accused of stealing from scrap metal company

Bail has been lowered for a Fond du Lac man accused of stealing more than $100,000 from Sadoff Iron and Metal company.  Donald Krueger stood mute at his arraignment hearing Thursday afternoon and the court entered a not guilty plea on his behalf.  Judge Dale English lowered bond from $100,000 to $2000 cash.  Krueger and his alleged accomplice Daniel Christenson of Wild Rose waived their preliminary hearings last Friday on […]

6-12-15 watertown man sentenced to jail for sexually assaulting 13 year old girl

A Watertown man convicted of sexually assaulting a 13 year old girl will spend some time in jail. Dodge County Circuit Court Judge Steven Bauer handed down a withheld sentence of five years probation to 23 year old Dylan Zimmerman.
