6-6-15 fdl police investigating whether fireworks discharge and mailbox vandalism incidents are related

Fond du Lac police are investigating whether the apparent discharging of fireworks earlier this week is related to a rash of mailbox vandalism incidents.  Assistant police chief Steve Klein says police received two reports of what sounded like either gunshots or fireworks the same night that dozens of mailboxes were vandalized in the city and just outside the city limits.  Police are still looking for the person or persons responsible.

Dodge County Sheriff’s Sgt Joe Nicholas and K9 partner Paige have made their first drug bust on the road together.  On May 31st  Sgt Nicholas conducted a traffic stop in the Town of Lomira that resulted in an arrest for possession with intent to deliver Ecstasy.  Sgt Nicholas also located over 10.5oz of Marijuana that was mostly in the form of a large brick of “Marijuana butter” along with over […]

6-5-15 tucker restaurant robbery suspect going to prison

One of three men arrested in connection with the robbery of a Tucker’s restaurant employee four years ago is going to prison.  Fond du Lac judge Gary Sharpe sentenced Vincent Hanes to two years in prison followed by four years extended supervision.  Hanes pleaded no contest last Novmeber to a charge of robbery with use of  force.   A second man was placed on probation earlier this year for his role […]

MADISON, Wis. (AP) — A Wisconsin Senate committee has advanced a bill that would allow businesses to keep a supply of epinephrine injectors to combat life-threatening allergic reactions.  The health committee unanimously approved the bill Thursday.
