5-28-15 local unemployment rate down

The local unemployment rate is down in the latest reporting period.  The city of Fond du Lac’s jobless rate fell from five percent in March to 4.2 percent in April.  The Fond du Lac County unemployment rate stands at 3.8 percent, down from 4.8 percent in March.  In Dodge County the unemployment rate fell from 5.6 to 4.2 percent in April.

Scott Walker's proposal to create a new office to ensure the government continues following a disaster.  Walker's budget calls for creating the Office of Government Continuity within the Department of Administration. 5-27-15 car fire-oakfield

Nobody was injured in a fire that destroyed a car in Fond du Lac County Wednesday morning.   At 6:05am firefighters were called to the scene in the northbound lanes of Highway 151 at Towne Road near Oakfield to find the car fully engulfed in flames.

A new date has been scheduled for a jury trial for a Fond du Lac woman charged in the murder of her husband.  The two week trial for Eve Nance has been rescheduled for January 18th.  Nance was scheduled to go on trial June first but the trial was delayed after the defense attorney said an expert witness needed more time to evaluate Nance and review the case.  The 38 […]
