A convicted child sex offender is being released from prison and will be living in Fond du Lac County. Sheriff Mick Fink says James Broeders will be getting out of prison next week and will be living at a residence at N8570 Nitschke Road in Van Dyne. Broders spent several years in prison for sexually assaulting two girls, ages 13 and 14.
Two Beaver Dam men have been arrested as part of a drug sweep in Dodge County. Officers with the Dodge County Drug Task Force have arrested 49 year old Eddie Morris and 36 year old Gary Campbell. The Department of Workforce Development reports the March unemployment rate in Dodge County is 5.5 percent, down from 5.7 percent in February. In Fond du Lac County the unemployment rate fell from five percent to 4.8 percent last month. The city of Fond du Lac’s jobless rate remains unchanged at five percent.
