The state Fire Marshal is investigating an early morning fire that destroyed a Fond du lac home. Firefighters were called to the scene at 410 Ellis Street early Tuesday morning for a report of the back of the house on fire. When firefighters arrived on the scene there was smoke and visible flames. Nearby residents were evacuated. Two pets perished in the blaze.
A Fond du Lac man has been convicted in a shooting last fall outside the Taco Bell restaurant. Twenty year old Dao Vang pleaded no contest to recklessly endangering safety with use of a dangerous weapon. A sentencing hearing is scheduled for June 26th.
