There is a new face on the Fond du Lac school board and a longtime  Incumbent has been ousted.  Challenger Linda Uselmann was the top vote getter in Tuesday’s election with 3,392 votes.   "I'm so excited, I'm so thankful for everyone who helped make this happen,"  Uselmann told WFDL news. 4-8-15 fdl city council race

A challenger, incumbent and appointed councilmember were all victorious in Tuesday’s race for Fond du lac city counci.  Greg Giles who was appointed to the council last summer received the most votes with 2,544.   "I'm very thankful that people believe I have some leadership that I can bring to the city council and I'm honored,"  Giles told WFDL news.  Challenger Brian Kolstad was close behind with 2,469 votes.  Incumbent […]

4-8-15 campbellsport school referendum fails

A Campbellsport school referendum has gone down to defeat.  Voters rejected the $25 million building referendum 1,429 no votes to 1,137 yes votes.    School administrator Paul Amundson says the school board will now review the results and decide what the next step will be.  A major portion of the project involved demolition and replacing a section of the middle-high school that is more than 80 years old.  Amundson says the […]

4-8-15 mayville school referendum defeated

Mayville School District voters have rejected a high school renovation referendum of up to 23 million dollars.  Voters voted down both referendum options.  With 1071 “yes” votes to 1261 “no” votes, Question One asked to spend 19.3 million dollars for a new secure front entrance, classroom and infrastructure updates, and a new auditorium.  With 941 “yes” votes to 1379 “no” votes, Question Two asked to spend 3.7 million dollars to […]

MADISON, Wis. (AP) — Justice Ann Walsh Bradley says her re-election victory shows that voters want the Wisconsin Supreme Court to be nonpartisan.  Bradley easily defeated challenger Rock County Circuit Judge James Daley on Tuesday.  While the race is officially nonpartisan, Daley had openly courted conservatives and accepted donations from the Republican Party.  Bradley benefited from television ads run by an independent group. 4-8-15 spring election town races

There were several races for town and village offices.  Ken Lefeber and Stephen Koenigs were elected supervisors in the town of Calumet.   Julie hence-Franke, Tim Stoppleworth and Dennis Steinke were elected Oakfield Village trustees.  Robert Wondra and Kristen Mielke were elected to the Lomira School board.  Mike Streetar was elected as a write in candidate to the North Fond du Lac School Board with 80 votes.

4-8-15 new k9 handler for dodge county sheriff’s office

The Dodge County Sheriff’s Office has announced the selection of Sergeant Joseph Nicholas as its newest K9 Handler.  Lieutenant Chad Enright will be stepping down as handler and K9 Paige will be reassigned to Sergeant Nicholas.  Acclamation and Training will take place over the next month and they will begin working together on the road in mid-May.  Lieutenant Chad Enright and Sheriff Dale Schmidt came to a mutual decision to […]
