3-25-15 man sentenced in tucker’s restaurant robbery

One of three men arrested in connection with the robbery of a Tucker’s restaurant employee five years ago has been placed on probation.  Fond du Lac judge Richard Nuss placed Thomas Livangood on three years probation with 90 days in the county jail for his role in the incident.  Livangood earlier pleaded no contest to false imprisonment, battery and theft.  He was originally charged with armed robbery.  Livangood and two […]

3-25-15 accident victim identified

Authorities have identified the Fond du Lac man who died after being pinned underneath a pick-up truck.  Sheriff’s captain Rick Olig says 26 year old Mathew Wiese was pronounced dead at the scene in the driveway of  his residence on Voyager Drive in the Ashwood Grove Trailer park Monday.  Olig says Wiese was working under the truck when the accident occurred.

3-25-15 funny money surfacing at fdl businesses

Fond du lac police are investigating the passing of counterfeit money at at least six Fond du Lac businesses. Police received complaints of counterfeit bills passed at JoAnn Fabrics, Kohls Department store and the Dollar Tree store Saturday.   On Monday police received reports of counterfeit bills at American Bank and Horicon Bank and Taco Bell.

TOWN OF SHEBOYGAN, Wis. (AP) — Authorities say a bicyclist has died after colliding with a pickup truck in the Town of Sheboygan.   The Sheboygan County sheriff's office got a 911 call about the crash around 6:30 Monday.  Authorities say a 64-year-old man was driving a pickup that collided with a 22-year-old bicyclist on the road.  The bicyclist was flown to a Green Bay hospital, but the sheriff's office […]

3-24-15 prison sentence in fatal fdl crash

A Fond du lac County man convicted in a traffic crash that claimed the life of a Campbellsport teenager is going to prison.  At a hearing Monday Fond du Lac judge Richard Nuss sentenced 20 year old Gilberto Castenada-Bobadilla to three years in prison followed by five years of extended supervision.  The judge also ordered six years probation to run consecutive to the prison sentence.  Castenado-Bobadilla pleaded no contest in […]
