Milwaukee’s Jackson Chourio will open the season in the majors.   Chourio, who turned 20 on March 11, agreed to an $82 million, eight-year contract during the offseason despite having played only six games above Double-A. 3-25-24 stabbing suspect captured

A suspect in a stabbing incident in Fond du Lac County is in custody.   After receiving a tip, law enforcement located 50 year old Fermin Lopez-Mendoza near a residenced in rural Ozaukee County Saturday evening.    He was arrested, turned over to Fond du Lac County Sheriff’s detectives,  and transported to the Fond du Lac County Jail where he is being held on a charge of  Attempted First Degree Intentional Homicide.  […]

WASHINGTON (AP) — Rep. Mike Gallagher, a Wisconsin Republican who has spearheaded House pushback against the Chinese government, said Friday he would resign from the House, leaving House Republicans with the thinnest of majorities.  Gallagher, age 40, announced he would resign his position on April 19. A new AAA survey shows most U.S. drivers are still either afraid or uneasy about the idea of fully self-driving vehicles.  State AAA spokesman Nick Jarmusz says 66 percent of drivers expressed fear of full self-driving vehicles, while 25 percent were uncertain.  Jarmusz says the fears are mostly driven by numerous well-publicized incidents where drivers lost their lives in car crashes because they were led to believe their vehicle could drive itself.  […]
