3-6-15 chicago man convicted of dealing cocaine in fdl

A Chicago man has been convicted of dealing cocaine in Fond du Lac.  At a hearing in Fond du Lac County Circuit Court LaTroy Allen Jr. pleaded no contest to one count of manufacture-delivery of cocaine.  Thirteen other counts were dismissed and read into the record.  Allen will be sentenced May 27th.

MADISON, Wis. (AP) — Wisconsin's unemployment rate has dropped to 5 percent, its lowest point since before the recession.  The state Department of Workforce Development reported Thursday that the unemployment rate dropped from 5.2 percent in December to 5 percent in January.  Private-sector job creation was basically flat over the period, with just 300 new jobs created.  The numbers fluctuate greatly month-to-month because they are based on a survey of […]

MADISON, Wis. (AP) — Leaders at Wisconsin's elections board say plans to make changes after a critical state audit could be hampered by cuts in Gov. Scott Walker's proposed budget.  The Government Accountability Board is among several agencies that would see many of its behind-the-scenes functions consolidated under a pilot program. MILWAUKEE (AP) — A judge in the Archdiocese of Milwaukee bankruptcy has eliminated the largest number of sexual abuse claims to date in the 4-year-old case.  Federal bankruptcy Judge Susan Kelley has dismissed nine of 10 claims challenged by the archdiocese.
