Dodge County officials are looking to make security upgrades at the Dodge County courthouse and jail for the first time since the facility was built 15 years ago. Dodge County administrator Jim Mielke says the present courthouse security system is outdated and state of the art security features are needed from a safety standpoint. Mielke says upgrades are also needed in the jail.

A boil water advisory continues in the village of Brandon until test results on water samples are received…probably sometime this weekend. Public Health officer Kim Mueller says the advisory was issued Thursday following a water main break In the village. "In the village of Brandon they had a little over 50,000 gallons of water that leaked out and so that drops the (water) pressure," Mueller told WFDL news.
Investigators say it appears a fire that destroyed a Campbellsport area home this week started in an attached garage. Two people escaped the fire on Timberlane Drive without injury. Two pets died in the blaze. Sheriff’s captain Rick Olig says fire crews were also battling bitter cold wind chills. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
