MADISON, Wis. WAUKESHA, Wis. (AP) — A judge says two Wisconsin girls accused of stabbing a classmate to please the fantasy character Slender Man are both competent to stand trial. Prosecutors charged both girls with attempted first-degree intentional homicide in the attack in May in Waukesha. 12-19-14 911 service restored

Emergency 911 service were restored late Thursday afternoon to multiple southern Wisconsin counties after an outage that began around 9 a.m. Service was restored at around 4 o'clock Thursday afternoon.   Authorities say 911 emergency phone service was down in five Wisconsin counties.  Frontier Communications says a fiber cable was cut, affecting 911 phone service and high speed internet access in western Dodge, Juneau, Columbia, Adams and Marquette counties.

MADISON, Wis. (AP) — Wisconsin ranks 32nd in private-sector job growth for the 12-month period ending in June.  The latest figures were reported Thursday by the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics.  They show that Wisconsin grew private-sector jobs between July 2013 and the end of June this year by 1.45 percent. OSHKOSH, Wis. (AP) — Oshkosh Corp. says it has another order from the U.S. Army to make tactical vehicles and trailers.  The company said Thursday the contract for 256 medium tactical vehicles is worth $67 million. The vehicles are to be delivered next year and 2016.  Oshkosh Corp. says it has delivered more than 22,000 trucks and 11,000 trailers to the Army since 2010.  The vehicles are used by the […]
