12-10-14 walker meeting with billionaire casino mogul

MADISON, Wis. (AP) — Gov. Scott Walker is in Las Vegas to meet with billionaire casino mogul and Republican super donor Sheldon Adelson, as Walker continues to consider running for president in 2016. Adelson's top political adviser Andy Abboud confirms that Walker is meeting with Adelson. Adelson gave the Wisconsin Republican Party $650,000 in late October and he previously gave Walker $250,000 during the 2012 recall.

12-9-14 slippery highway near ripon

Ripon police are urging drivers to use caution on Highway 44 just outside of the city.  Due to glare ice conditions, Highway 44 was shut down for a period of time this morning due to an accident near Locust Road.   Police say patches of ice still exist in the area.

A Dodge County homicide suspect has been found competent to stand trial in another open case. The court found thirty year old Kriscilla McHenry of Milwaukee competent to stand trial at a hearing Monday in Dodge County Circuit Court on an automobile theft charge. A Rosendale man who was critically injured after falling from a tree stand will be taken off life support after his organs are harvested for donation.  Forty one year old Jason Czoschke was listed in critical condition at Theda Clark Regional Medical Center in Neenah.  His wife Shawna posted on Facebook that her husband was an organ donor and the donation process could take 24 to 36 hours.  Czoschke fell […]

Nobody was injured when a stray rifle bullet struck the Waupun Community Center.  Waupun police chief Dale Heeringa says the incident happened November 29th when there was a hockey game in progress. 12-9-14 fdl county sheriff’s office warns people to stay off lake winnebago

The Fond du Lac County Sheriff’s Office says an incident over the weekend shows how dangerous ice conditions are on Lake Winnebago.  Five fishermen were rescued after becoming trapped when a large crack developed on the ice.  Sheriff’s Sergeant Jeff Bonack says what appears to be solid, stable ice can and will open up depending on the wind direction.  "The situation we were given yesterday (Sunday) I've been on the […]
