11-21-14 wi unemployment rate down slightly

MADISON, Wis. (AP) — Wisconsin's unemployment rate stands at 5.4 percent in October, dropping slightly from 5.5 percent the previous month.  The state Department of Workforce Development reported Thursday that the state added 4,000 private sector jobs over the last month at the same time unemployment went down.  The unemployment rate is the lowest since the recession in October 2008. 11-21-14 hefty cash bail ordered in fdl heroin overdose case

A third person has been charged in the heroin overdose death of a Fond du lac County man two years ago.  Alonzo Cornelius of Milwaukee made his initial Fond du lac Court appearance Thursday on charges of first degree reckless homicide-delivery of drugs and manufacture-delivery of heroin as a repeater.  Bail was set at $250,000 cash.   Cornelius is the third person charged in the heroin overdose death of town […]

Three people were transported to the hospital with non life-threatening injuries in a two vehicle accident in Fond du Lac County.  The accident happened Thursday afternoon on Highway WH and North Peebles Lane in Peebles…north of Fond du lac.  The Fond du Lac County Sheriff's Office directed traffic around the accident scene.

WEST BEND, Wis. (AP) — Police officers were called to West Bend East High School where students became unruly over a new hall pass policy. Superintendent Ted Neitzke says some students became unruly during a planned meeting to discuss the new hall pass procedures. One student says some of her classmates were flipping tables and tearing things off the walls.
