11-20-14 fdl mom accused of damaging son’s ears

The Fond du Lac County Board has approved a 2015 budget.  The board adopted the budget at their meeting Tuesday night with county board supervisors Thomas Schumacher and Dennis Stenz voting against. The Fond du Lac County Board has approved a five year capital improvement plan.  County Executive Al Buechel says the big ticket item is reconstructing a six mile stretch of County Highway I that runs parallel to Highway 41.  "That is the poorest quality road we have in the county right now,"  Buechel said.  "They'll widen the road, increase the shoulders and straighten the curves."  Buechel says the CIP also […]

Fond du Lac police are investigating the death of a 43-year-old Fond du Lac man.  Fond du Lac Assistant Police Chief Steve Thiry said investigators do not believe the death is suspicious.  Police were called to an apartment at 27 Third St.  Monday after friends found the man without a pulse.

MADISON, Wis. (AP) — Wisconsin's gun deer license sales are lagging dramatically behind last year's pace.  Department of Natural Resources data shows hunters had purchased 565,663 licenses as of Monday. MILWAUKEE (AP) — Wisconsin is home to an estimated 85,000 people who immigrated illegally, three-fourths of them from Mexico.  That's according to a new study released Tuesday by the Pew Research Center. It focuses on illegal immigration from 2009 to 2012.  The study says illegal immigration has been largely stable nationwide since 2009.
