3-11-24 dodge county serious injury crash update

The Dodge County Sheriff's Office continues to investigate a crash that seriously injured a Beaver Dam woman.  Seventy-seven year old Margaret Brozek remains hospitalized in serious condition.  A preliminary investigation shows that her car collided with another vehicle at the intersection of Highway 151 and county Highway DE Thursday.  The driver of the second vehicle, 57 year old Ronal Vosberg of Stoughton, was treated and released from a hospital.

3-11-24 first over the counter birth control pill

The first over the counter birth control pill will be available in US stores later this month.  Manufacturer Perrigo says it has begun shipping the medication, called Opill, to major retailers and pharmacies.  Fond du Lac County Public Health Officer Kim Mueller says Opill's approval is unrelated to the ongoing court battles over the abortion pill mifepristone, and anti-abortion groups have generally emphasized they do not oppose  contraceptives to prevent pregnancies.  A one […]

The Fox Valley Workforce Development Board will be assisting workers who  are being laid off from the Del Monte Foods Plant in Markesan.  Development Board CEO Anthony Snyder says 90 workers at Del Monte Foods are being laid off as early as April 26.  Snyder says most of the nonunion employees who are affected by the layoffs are full-time.  "Del Monte indicated there had simply been a decrease in sales of their […]
