First in engine crew found heavy fire conditions in the rear of the structure. The fire caused extensive damage to the rear of the 2-story wood frame structure. The Red Cross is assisting a Brandon family following a fire. Nobody was injured in the fire at the John Horvath home on Highway 49 in Brandon. The Fond du Lac County Sheriff’s Office says Horvath and his two children were able to escape without injury. The fire is believed to be electrical in nature and caused significant damage to the home.
