10-31-14 baker cheese expansion

A Fond du Lac County cheese plant is expanding.  The Wisconsin Economic Development Corporation says it has authorized up to $800,000 in tax credits to support a $7 million expansion project at Baker Cheese Factory Inc. of St. Cloud.  The project is expected to create as many as 40 jobs.  The amount of tax credits awarded depends on how many new jobs are created.   The WEDC news release says  […]

BEAVER DAM, Wis. (AP) — The Dodge County Humane Society says two neglected dogs brought to the shelter weren't abandoned in a dumpster as the man who delivered them had claimed.  Humane Society president Ryan Vossekuil says when police investigated the case of possible animal neglect, they found the man wasn't telling the truth. A Waupun man is in custody following a disturbance involving a group of people.  The  Dispatch Center received a hang up 911 call Wednesday afternoon and when officers arrived on scene they noticed a vehicle attempting to leave the area.  When the officer made contact with this vehicle and occupants he detected the strong order of  marijuana.  Police say the driver was uncooperative and physically fought with officers attempting to […]

10-30-14 taycheeda convenience store armed robbery

Nobody was injured in an armed robbery at a Taycheeda convenience store.  On Tuesday October 29th at 9:26pm the Fond du Lac County Communication Center received a call from E & J Convenience located at N7425 Winnebago Drive in the Township of Taycheedah regarding an armed robbery that just occurred.  Preliminary investigation indicates a white male approximately 5’06” 130-140lbs entered the store and displayed a small black handgun.  The incident […]
