MADISON, Wis. (AP) — Republican Gov. Scott Walker is leading Democrat Mary Burke in the last Marquette University Law School poll released before Tuesday's election.  The poll released Wednesday showed Walker with 50 percent support, compared with 43 percent for Burke. 10-30-14 prison inmate death investigation

JUNEAU, Wis. (AP) — Authorities have concluded that a report of the late 1960s death of an inmate from Waupun State Prison is unfounded.  The Dodge County sheriff's office received a complaint in June about a possible suspicious death of an inmate. A new AAA study finds that rear view cameras on vehicles can save lives.  State Triple A spokesman Nick Jarmuscz says the systems are intended to improve driver awareness of the area immediately behind the vehicle in order to reduce the instance of back over fatalities.  AAA tests found that overall rear-view camera systems improved rear visibility an average of 46 percent…depending on the type of vehicle you have. For the 11th consecutive year a Fond du lac elementary school is being recognized by the state.  Chegwin Elementary has again been named a Wisconsin Title One School of Recognition.  Superintendent Dr. Jim Sebert says the award highlights schools that have demonstrated success in educating students from low-income families.
