10-17-14 two vehicle accident on pioneer road sends one person to the hospital

One person received non life threatening injuries in a two vehicle accident on Pioneer Road in Fond du lac.  The accident happened on Pioneer between Martin and Park Avenues shortly before 3:30pm Thursday.  One vehicle apparently crossed over the center line striking another vehicle.  One person was transported to the hospital with what appeared to be minor injuries.

10-17-14 freshwater jellyfish found in waupaca county

An aquatic Invasive species educator says it’s the first time freshwater jellyfish have been found in a Waupaca County lake.  Paul Skawinski says a fisherman reported the jellyfish on Spencer Lake last week. MADISON, Wis. (AP) — The last jobs report before the Nov. 4 election contains a double-dose of good news for Gov. Scott Walker.  The state Department of Workforce Development reported Thursday that Wisconsin's unemployment rate dropped to 5.5 percent in September and 8,400 private-sector jobs were added.  The unemployment rate is the lowest since the recession in October 2008.
